Retrievable Flow Control Devices

Pilot Valves

ABOUT:

The JM20-PV-R wireline retrievable injection pressure operated Pilot Valve is a 1-1/2” O.D. valve primarily controlled by injection gas pressure. The valve is used to control gas pressure and its flow from the casing annulus into the tubing during intermittent gas lift operations. Intermittent gas requires that a large volume of gas be injected rapidly into the tubing for short periods of time to displace a slug of fluid from the point of injection to the surface.

The valve is designed with a sealed chamber, including a bellows assembly that contains a nitrogen charge over dampening fluid, which provides the closing force. The injection pressure compresses the bellows, thus lifting a pilot valve stem off the seat, allowing gas to depress the power piston assembly permitting a large volume of gas to be injected rapidly through the valve into the tubing.
